Southern Region Needs to Step Up to the Plate
|
From our President, Dan Cummings to the ABC Board of Directors
As you may remember from the treasurer's reports at the board meetings, the Silent Auction at Nationals the last few years has been a tremendous source of income for the ABC. The silent auction the last two years have provided $3020 and $2829 respectively. With this being a World's Year, it is critical that we have a fantastic auction this year as well.
Doug Koch coordinated the raffle last year and has agreed to do so again. He is asking that each region provide at least $500 worth of items for the raffle. To spark your thoughts, last year had everything from autographed memorabilia, to ropes, handles, clothing items from World's, suits, training with a pro, a weekend ski get away, boat stuff, etc. Regionals coming up for everyone is a good time to solicit stuff. Perhaps each region could go together and provide a big ticket item like a Barefoot Suit. Or perhaps buying something from Lake Elmo Sports who is sponsoring Nationals. Just brainstorming.
If you would, please contact Doug (dougkoch@prtel.com) to let him know what you come up with.
Thanks a bunch!
Dan Cumming
President American Barefoot Club
From Holtzy: I hope that each of us individually donate something to support our USA team. I will donate two days of instruction on how to learn the flying-back-tumble-to-one start (including room and board). Value - priceless...
We'll have have a 'donation' box at regionals and I hope each skier will step up to the plate.
