Dale Stevens Wins Stew McDonald Award

Hey all !!
I just want to thank all of you for taking the time and effort in promoting the selection of Dale for the Stew McDonald award. His eyes filled with tears when he received the phone call and again today when he received the actual plaque with his name engraved !! He is truely honored to have received the award and truely touched that you all thought so highly of him to select him !! The only thing that could have made things better was if he was there to receive it in person ---- and I almost bought him a ticket for the weekend as a surprise- but had he done that, he would have missed recieving his award for being the "Outstanding Technical Controller" at trad nationals. Now, I have to tell you that his remarks in receiving this award was that the 18 years in Barefoot prepared him well for taking on the challenge of Traditional so he again, attributes his successes today to his passion of Barefoot! Thank you for recognizing his efforts!
We look forward to upcoming Barefoot tournaments and seeing you all along the way. Again, we (and I especially) thank you for being so thoughtful !

P.S. This award is given annually to recognize the person(s) who has contributed to the sport of barefooting for at least ten years. The award recipient is someone who has distinguished himself/herself above and beyond all other individuals in serving the sport. Nominee should be a current ABC member, with preference given to US citizenship.
